How is Unique Batik inspired by Pantone’s color picks?

We thought this was super cute! Found it on Pinterest…of course.  Seems like the easiest way would be to sketch a pattern first and then try to mimic it as you bead.  Neutrals with a pop of a bold/vibrant color is the trend right now for spring/summer.  If you attempt this let us know how it turns out!

So this is what the creative process looks like at Unique Batik!  We are currently coming up with new color pallets for our artisans in Guatemala who make our beloved carryall bags.  To make sure they get the colors just the way we want them, we go back to our good old coloring skills.  Very technical…we know. Well, we are new to the blogging thing, so you are all going to have to be a little patient, while we learn just exactly what you want to hear from us here at Unique Batik.  Who are we?  We are a Fair Trade company in North Carolina that designs and imports jewelry, bags, clothing and accessories from Guatemala, Ghana, Thailand and Pakistan.  We promise to bring you some fun, useful and interesting information through our new blog!  That being said, we are going to take some time to fill in our calendar with all kinds of great blog topics and we will get back to you shortly!  Any suggestions?  What would you like to hear about from us?
