Another DIY we cannot take credit for but was so worth sharing!  Here is a DIY bracelet tutorial that we found posted on Pinterest…but it was originally posted on a cute blog called “Henry Happened.” (http://www.henryhappened.com/diy-braided-t-shirt-bracelets.html).  Click the link to read more!

Not that we are encouraging people to cut up our beautiful hand-dyed BATIK TEES…but they would make some really beautiful bracelets!!!!

burkina bangleUnique Batik sells Burkina Bangles that are crafted in Ghana from grass reeds and recycled plastic cord. Lightweight and cheery, they look great in a stack on your arm.

The image at the top is from the Unique Batik wholesale website. It shows a suggested retail price of $5 for one Burkina Bangle. The bottom image from a major online retailer shows the same bangle for $48.

Striking difference? Yes. Does it matter? Maybe not. What do you think?

chichi flower bagsOur stockroom shelves look a bit like a garden in springtime… there are bright colors and floral patterns all around. Highlighted above are some of our “Chichi” bags: all made of recycled huipiles (hand-woven and embroidered ladies’ blouses) from Chichicastenango, Guatemala. No two are the same!
